I must not be the only one confused with the new format. Nobody is posting.
I liked the old board much better.

Default Suggestion.

I'm slowly starting to get use to the new format but still not very happy with the layout. It's been up for awhile now and I don't see many post. I was happy to see a couple of puzzles (Thanks guys) but we seem to have lost many old and steady posters. Not a good sign. Another problem could be the new name. While I understand the reason for omitting the word "Speedo", it's going to make it difficult for new members to find this site. I think I would have substituted the word "Breif" or "Bikini" in the title. Without new members the prospects for this Board are dim. I would hate to see the board disappear and hope that it can be revieved and prosper. I did a story line once, do you think if I started a new one it would help?

Hey Tom, lets give it time. I like the new format and really like that puzzles stories and open discussion are now broken out. The old board also had few posters in the end. I think the sign on aspect will scare some away, but the membership has grown quite a bit this week.

Well its been over a month now and the number of posting has picked up.
Unfortunatily, as the activity has increased its becoming more confusing to follow. This system of having to page through old post to find an added comment to an existing storyline is a pain in the ass. Lets not forget that these storylines are not going to be deleted at the end of the month. What going to happen when they get to be 20 or 30 pages long? Why not add replies to the top of the stroyline instead of the bottom or put in an option to allow us to "go to" the new post directly. I fully understand that the old site was a major problem for Mike and it needed to be updated. What I don't see is how anyone can consider this an improvment. I'm not a happy camper and I don't think I am alone. I could easily just stop contributing to the site, as so many other long term members have, but I don't want to see it disappear.

You are not alone Tom and I keep banging the drum for simplicity of operation
-- and not to find that an 'improvement' instead requires more and more complex navigation.
I remain of the opinion that regular archiving was not a bad thing and one
only has to scan the threads to see that everybody has mostly said what they want to say within a month and the topic therefore fizzles out.

I find it very simple to go right to the newest post in any thread. You just have to click on the Last Post arrow on the right of the forum listings. Look around and experiment...This board has tons of features that many of the big popular boards on the web have. You just have to take a moment to become familiar with how to use the all the forum features and controls.

You can easily see if any forum or thread contains new postings. Just check the message icon picture to the left of any forum or message thread. There are icons for Forum Contains New Posts, Forum Contains No New Posts, and others. Check the bottom of the main forum index page to see an example of the main message icon choices.

You can jump to the beginning of a comment thread, any specific page in the comment thread, or right ot the newest post in a comment thread. You just have to click on the correct link to get you to where you want to go. Take some time and learn the new features. Once you do, you can apply that to most of the other big forums on the web too.

I did a search on the chat room postings. Mike said recently

Your search produced a thread by Flip as Confused on 17th November, not in this forum, but "Off Topic".

I will therefore describe myself also as confused - could you please explain what words you used in the Search box to provide the required result and how many attempts did it take ?

I searched for "chat" using the Search button at the top of the screen. It is located between New Posts and Quick Links. There is also an advanced search option if you want to specifiy more detail.

Guys who are still using the old URL addresses will automatically be forwarded to this new site.

Tom, sure...If you have a story to share, or reshare, be sure to post it under a new thread.

Er..........actually I wasn't.............

Tried for a week to get on to old site.
A message just said it may have moved or be temporarily down.

Eventually found this new site by advanced search..........
Thought it really unimpressive that no warning was given on old board.
I was actually just left to find this new one by my own devices..........
