![]() It used to be common for French boys to put on their speedos when they arrived at camping sites at the beginning of the school holidays and remain in them until term began in the autumn. In the evenings they would put on tee shirts and sweat shirts to stay warm but happily continue to wear their speedos without shorts.
The mothers would camp with their families all summer while the husbands would work during the week and show up at the camping sites at the weekends and during their own summer vacations. French cities used to be empty of children during the summer as everyone was at the beach. Arriving at a camp site in the early evening one would be greeted by hordes of happy tanned kids in speedos and tee shirts running and cycling about. |

![]() Torchwatch,
I like that type of atmosphere and culture. That would never work here in the USA! Sad!!! |

![]() I have occasionally spent an entire day in a speedo, including back yard work, car washing and even a bike ride on rare occasions. Never more than about 16 hours since I find them (or any clothing) to confining for sleeping.
