I'm one of those guys with cancer in the males of my family. My first DRE was when I was 40'ish. I had been having delayed start on urination... a classic sign of prostatic enlargement. My doctor who was an older gentleman told me what he was going to do and also told me to expect some semen emission due to his rubbing around my prostate. He said that was quite normal for a young guy like me. He was right, but at least I wasn't embarrassed by the emission. ~ ~ ~ Subsequent DRE's were always apprehensive... shucks it was uncomfortable until I luckily was examined by a female doctor who told me to push out a little like I was taking a poo. ~ ~ ~ Worked like magic ~ ~ ~ A slick trick, don't you think?
