I think heavy metals are used as inexpensive dye-fixing agents. So if I dyed a fabric red and didn't fix it, it would bleed out when washed (or you swim in it). I did a quick google search and found this. http://www.bamboosa.com/boombosa.php?PID=17 http://health.nytimes.com/health/gui.../overview.html So lately, I'm really getting weary of off-brand items. I read about problems with bad sheet-rock, toxic baby toys, etc. and if it's also a problem with swimwear, it's another thing to worry about. I realize I'm NOT going to ingest it, like a child may chew on bits of cloth, but still.... I hate to be wearing it. Last edited by JamesSwim : 10-15-2012 at 02:39 PM. |
