I am doing some layering today. The base layer is a red Jockey 'Life" thong probably dating from the 90s, in a slick red fabric. The elastic is still good and I like the feel of the narrow strap cinched up tight between my glutes. That is a fun sensation

I swapped out the cup that came with the strap, picking instead a smaller, narrower, snugger fitting cup that has kept my interest up down there all day. Having Fun with an Athletic Supporter Part 1. Setting the Stage

I am always looking to having fun by doing things, to, with and my myself, and, of course, if I am to be successful much of these efforts involve employing a snug-fitting clothing item of one sort or another. Years back, 30 to 50 years ago, athletic supporters were mainly sold in drug stores. If a young budding athlete was going to participate in a competition such as football or basketball, he needed to be wearing a n athletic supporter with a protective cup, as coach required with. So the guy went off to the local drug store to buy one. The designs were close to all the same as were the designs of the cups. The supporter aka "jock" or jock strap typically were made of a coarse-textured rubberized elastic with a softer sewn in pouch to hold the cup. There was no back to the strap other than two elastic straps that fit snug enough so that the cupped pouch was forced to be held firmly against the guy's groin and basically not able to move to provide any "relief" whatsoever. The penis was held snug within this rather flat-and-narrow cup with a steady pressure on it from the cup walls. Many guys were very wary of being cupped and strapped, because important stuff tended to get bigger under such firm-but-gentle pressure. And the even trickier part was the guy needed to at ;least be semblance of playing the game while being cupped and strapped in this "mean" way. I was no athlete in high school, and certainly I did not compete is a sport that required me to wear a strap and cup. Still, I admired the guys who were both willing and able to do do. I wondered a lot about what it felt like to be in such a "predicament". Was being cupped and strapped actually "fun" in a weird sort of way. So in college, as a young adult living away from home, I could pursue this line of research and not have to explain to anyone why I had gone out and bought straps. I began with a basic strap without a cup then worked up to the ones that had a cup. The first strap I got, branded Fruit of the Loom, fit really snug, and I enjoyed the fit and feel immensely. So that encouraged me to try other designs,

The cupped strap I want to talk about this morning is a vintage one from a company named Futuro. I bought this strap in the late 1990s from a drug store in a small rural town where I graduated from high school in the 1960s just like a male high school athlete would have purchased for wearing in contact sport play, and it is a vintage design, 3-inch waistband made of heavy elastic with two narrower leg straps that control the tension applied to pulling the cup and pouch snug to the penis and groin. The strap was in fine shape. The elastic waistband was strong and had not deteriorated over time. However, the elastic in the leg straps had deteriorated and stretched out so there was less horizontal tension on the pouch and cup. The solution was to cut the leg straps and shorten them enough so the pouch and cup again fit snugly to my groin. That works great. There is a constant yet gentle tension on my penis when I wear the cupped strap. My penis is way smart and quickly realizes when it is in a happy place within the hard walls of that snug-fitting cup. It responds the only may it can, by dripping precum and telling my brain that it has found a fun place surrounded by the not-very-roomy hard cup all around. My brain is telling me this is a really enjoyable place to be and if possible I want to spend an entire afternoon feeling horny but with an arousal under control. Sadly, over the last two decades the vintage strap designs have all but disappeared from the marketplace. Futuro has become part of 3M and no longer makes straps at all but instead elasticised items like compression socks. Other traditional strap makers have dropped out as well, like Duke, the company that used to supply Wal Mart. The replacements have either been compression shorts that have a pouch that can hold a cup, or a strap that has what is called a banana cup which is way bigger than the classic cups. In a banana cup a guys penis just flops around in an oversized space with the cup providing no tension whatsoever.

An ebay vendor has a vintage Futuro (size small) for sale but the asking price is $60. This is supposed to be NOS but I gather the leg strap elastic has also deteriorated because of age and the leg straps would need the shortening treatment too.

Having said that, getting to wear a snug-fitting vintage style strap is one of those things no guy should miss out on, analogous to the first time a guy puts on a snug-fitting swim brief.

These are simple ways of enjoying yourself and your body. With the right gear all of this is way fun to do.
