The beauty and fascination of men's swim briefs (and bikinis) is that small chnges in fabric, design and colour (patterns) can make dramatic effects to the finished product.

You can spot a full pouch by the front stitching on a convex cut seam.
Most swim briefs and bikinis are meant to be swum in and have a waist cord, minimal fashion bikinis have thinner elastic and no waist cord, beware of diving in then as the bikini may float on the surface while you dive through them.
White yellow and ice blue swim briefs may go transparent when wet, watch out for this especially if they are unlined. Testing them in the shower before wearing them in public can be fun and revealing.
As you begin the collect swim briefs you'll group them as suitable for public swimming pools, busy beaches, quiet beaches and remote beaches.
Generally the more quiet and remote a beach is the further you have to drive and walk to get there, and the more adventurous other beach users will be. Carry a variety of swimwear and wear what seems suitable on the day.
