Speedos in Dubai?

I hope the hotel pool is indoors, it would be dangerous to lie in the sun at 50 degrees Celsius, 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

I haven't been there but I know the big waterparks over there have whats known as western swimwear rules which means speedos and bikinis are ok.
I assume all the hotel pools would have a similar attitude.

My wife and i stopped over in Dubai recently on the way to and from europe. I wore Speedos both in the hotel pool and for the day at the Atlantis waterpark. The Speedos i wore were reasonably modest (petit q Lecci Tartane without pad) and i didnt get any adverse reaction at any stage. However i hardly saw any other guy in speedo briefs though a few wore square cuts. Even got official photos of me in the speedos at Atlantis.
