![]() Used to bike in a speedo occasionally and short lightweight running shorts often. Felt great to be wearing so little when I was biking. However, I got saddle sores and chafing on my inner thighs so I switched to regular bike shorts.
I do usually ride shirtless when the temperature is above 70 so I do feel the sun and breeze above the waist. |

![]() Wear a speedo then get something like this to help add some cushion. Some of the speedos I bike in are smaller than this insert.
But I've been able to tuck it in without any issues and still have a comfortable ride. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2255799900716545.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.122 01802x6pK7w&gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt |

![]() For me it's Lycra cycle shorts on the bike and speedos or a swim thong on the beach.
I feel that each activity has it's own optimal clothing style, I used to run in short split sided shorts and a vest. I hated the coming of universal baggy knee length shorts for everything or the almost compulsory wearing of jeans at all times. |
