![]() I think everyone's experience were different. I expected to buy fake. And you or others are looking for real items, do have to be careful. If anything gone wrong, one can file an complain with Ebay to resolve the problem. ![]() |

![]() Effectively on ebay and outher sites the fqkes are very convincing and we are being had but on the outhes hand if the suit shown looks good and once you received it its is of a reasonnable quality then thats ok with me after all these suits are generally cheaper.
On the outher hand be casreful most pictures of suits or of guys in them ether on ebay or any outher site of firms that sell suits you will notice that once you received the suit its doesnt look as good as it did in the4 picture. Some sellers are or have very good photographers to take pictures and can by ways of lightning etc make the pic of the suit look good after all there there to sell...and can make the pictture of tyhe suit very appealing . sorry for my misspellings (frenchy from Quebec) |

I agree that if you get a good suit, even if fake at a good price, it's OK. But I am afraid of toxic materials like heavy-metal additives in fake suits. For example, the web site for YingFa, a swimwear maker says: "Made without heavy-metal additives." http://www.yingfa.us/yingfa-973-maple-leafs-2011-new/ So this may mean others do that! So having those materials next to your skin sounds bad. |

![]() The LingFa declaration about heavy metal additives is a new one to me.
My only thoughts on this relate to lead added to paints and the toxic effect of ingestion. Maybe there is a skin irritant in the coloring of fibres in a speedo fabric - any experts out there who can explain ? |

I think heavy metals are used as inexpensive dye-fixing agents. So if I dyed a fabric red and didn't fix it, it would bleed out when washed (or you swim in it). I did a quick google search and found this. http://www.bamboosa.com/boombosa.php?PID=17 http://health.nytimes.com/health/gui.../overview.html So lately, I'm really getting weary of off-brand items. I read about problems with bad sheet-rock, toxic baby toys, etc. and if it's also a problem with swimwear, it's another thing to worry about. I realize I'm NOT going to ingest it, like a child may chew on bits of cloth, but still.... I hate to be wearing it. Last edited by JamesSwim : 10-15-2012 at 02:39 PM. |
