My waxing salon refers to that as a "boyzillian"- and if you haven't had it done it doesn't hurt that much as long as the waxer is experienced. I prefer it to shaving or topical hair removers.

(it does seem to score as pube-shaving is necessarily more frequent and causes constant itching to some as it regrows).
