Thanks! I have a bit of a kink for getting caught in the rain - one day I'm hoping I'll be standing outside and there's a long low rumble of thunder and someone will see me getting wet and maybe want to do something about it

love that back coverage on your swimsuit. not a thong but not a speedo. hopefully we can one day get this to be the norm. Sad enough here in SC it might not be legal

Vega1210 I found your comment about briefer swimsuit backs interesting. I wonder if many other guys enjoy and would consider a suit with less back coverage, not a thong but possible 3/4 coverage.

I enjoy wearing suits that expose more of the sides of the butt cheek. This has been a female style for years, and I believe it looks great on guys too.

Possibly we need a thread to foster the discussion...and possibly start a trend!

SC is South Carolina? Is there a ban on all buttock exposure. How can a law like this exist when pretty much all styles for women and all speedos display st least a corner. The trend with bikinis is rear coverage that is ambiguously covering not covering the buttocks.

It's not just South Carolina. I live in Ohio, close to the Pennsylvania border. In Ohio, thongs are legal on all state park beaches. On another forum, someone wrote to the rangers at Presque Isle Beach in Erie, PA. Their response was that swimwear that didn't cover the whole of the buttocks were illegal to wear on that beach.

I think if you read the law you will see the idea is to ban thongs and g-strings. Its not the little butt cheek showing at the bottom of a suit -- its the whole bum out. I managed a hotel where we banned thongs and g-strings. Reason was the horrible show when some bent over. Obviously no one told them hair removal a must. Also, the law does require the anus be covered.
It is doubtful the laws are intended for what you are thinking, they want thongs etc reserved for private pools. If all else fails and you still have questions after reading the actual wording of the -- ask the police what constitutes a violation.
