Louis, since it is not possible for me to view the URL on your computer, there is no way that I can provide particular information for you. Quelle dommage.

My translation attempt was computer generated from my English; so Speedo Duck's name became mangled. It was my impression that you were in touch with him directly, and not just through the board.

Perhaps you may do some research to help you with "copy and paste" directions.

A votre sante et bon chance.

Yes I have bene emailing with SpeedoDuck for quite awhile,
on one of his last emails he mentionne dthat he was taking on age and soon was aware that speedos wouldnt look good on him, so he probably assumed that he should quit for these reasone yet in spite of his age (NOT THAT OLD) he still looked just fine in his favorite Hom swimsuits
Referring to one of my last treads do young speedo lovers like older speedo lovers no one responded so one has to assumed that the responses were NO.
What would you have doen if you were SpeedoDuck..

LOL, Crail and Sebbie seem to have been on rescue missions lately and I know only too well that a link is destroyed in transmission by just one tiny typing error or omission. For the farts for example all was well in the URL except for s appearing before htm when it should have been dot.

Btw a new thread is not necessary to notify a correction and if the topic is the same
(as it was there) you just state the amendment in a quick follow-up post. In other words send a reply to yourself under the original thread and then everyone sees a continuing narrative to relate to without confusion.

As for topics here is a communications issue but I cannot claim to relate it to speedo haters. It is an amusing old tale about a Canadian lighthouse and a USN battleship which has apparently been around for years but one I have never come across before.

Byron, I have heard of the lighthouse incident before, but the true test of US Naval Navigation is probably this:

Navigation errors are one thing but but gross arrogant stupidity in the Royal Navy is quite another:

Most interesting.

The losses of seven out of eleven destroyers at Honda Point in 1923 I had not known about and was indeed a tragedy.

News was recently that the last bodies have now been recovered from the Costa Concordia and the captain looks to be in big trouble especially when you hear the Coast Guard Commander shouting at him to get back on board immediately and arrange proper ship evacuation.
By coincidence I just came across this - happier times in Barcelona in 2007
when he was playing "music" on the ship's horn:

As regards HMS Victoria I did not know there is also a Tripoli in Lebanon.
The incident no doubt caused the Admiralty some embarrassment and the French some smugness as they had dropped rams in ship design.
She is still sticking out of the seabed like an arrow it seems.
Those flag signals remind me of the Crimea War - "Send three and fourpence, we're going to a dance".
Lady Bracknell's words also seem appropriate - "...................but to lose two smacks of carelessness".

Default correction of YouTube

Forget Barcelona above - I will give you Malta 2011 instead
(and I just selected that as Concordia departs Valetta, which
I remember well).
