Advice For My Son

I mentioned very casually to my son that he should expect to see our friend in a swim brief on Sunday. He seemed unfazed by this and we didn't discuss it further.

After breakfast this morning, I needed to run a few errands and asked my son if he'd like to tag along. He had nothing else planned, so decided to come. My workout bathing suit is getting a bit worn, so I stopped by the swim shop to get a replacement. He wandered around while I tried on a few swimsuits.

After deciding on one, I found my son in the men's section hovering near the swim briefs. Like I had previously, I suggested he try one on. I figured he'd say no, but instead he said okay. He took a plain navy brief off the rack. I waited outside the dressing room while he tried on the swimsuit.

A few minutes had gone by, so I knocked on the door and asked how it was going. He seemed unsure, so I asked if I could come in and take a look. He opened the door, and I went into the dressing room.

The brief looked good, but it was clearly too loose. I told him I'd find a smaller size, and went outside. The store was well stocked, and had one I figured would fit. He took the new brief and closed the door. This time when he let me in to look, it fit properly.

I took the swimsuits up to check out while my son got dressed. Hopefully he'll decide to wear it tomorrow.
