If my memory serves me correctly, volleyball shorts were extremely short in the era of short shorts for sports in general and got long more gradually than in other sports, notably basketball and soccer.
In beach volleyball most men wear long board shorts but shorter shorts and even speedos are allowed and seen occasionally. I know a beach volleyball player who knows someone who always competes in speedos and he thinks that gives him an advantage. |

Today, I saw a couple more guys out in shorts shorts.
Looks like the style is gaining momentum slowly but surely. I'm also thinking about starting a diary just to keep track of the trend. ![]() |

I was in London on Monday evening, quite a lot of guys walking around in fairly short shorts, making the long shorts look out of place.
Long trousers and short shorts have always looked smart while long short tend to look a bit crap. |

That's the idea: Long shorts are now beginning to look out of place just like they've been doing to short shorts for the past 15 years.
Now the tide is turning on them and it reminds me of the old saying "Karma's A Bitch"!!! ![]() |
