![]() Thanks for posting the wonderful photos. I have never seen MateGear suits outdoors, you look wonderful in them. What size do you typically order in normal suits and what size in MateGeat? I want to get some.
Beautiful photos of boating. Where is that? Any photos with you and your wife while you are wearing your brief suits? Need ammunition for convincing my wife it is OK and looks good |

Thanks for the compliments, Bikiniman! I've never seen the MATEgear look either. I just ran across their site this past winter and bought the g-string in these pics and 1 bikini before we went to Hedo. My wife thought the bikini with its ultra-low back looked weird, so after Hedo, I just started tanning in it to give the looooooooooow tanline down my ass. Now, I like the look and am going to be wearing it this summer. Our boat is slipped on Lake Michigan. Love the freedom of the open water! We were just up there this past weekend and got some sun time on one of our favorite beaches where minimal swimwear is completely accepted. We did take some pics of each other that I'll be posting soon. |

![]() I like Speedo and TYR suits for swimming, but for sunning I like the slightly smaller suits from Turbo or Monsterpolo - they are water polo suits, but have a lower cut which looks hot, in my opinion.

![]() I have favorites for suits I swim in and for suits I hang out in. For swimming, I will always like Speedo, it is the brand I first started wearing way back. As Swimmboy says, they are my standby swim workout suit. I really like the bold prints of Turbo and some of the other polo oriented brands. Hard Core Swim has some cool stuff. For hanging out by the lake or an evening boat ride I love Funky Trunks traditional square cut.

![]() speedo brand is probably what I own the most of, I find they give a good snug fit and aren't low-riding at the front - I hate that.
But for good designs, you can't go past a couple of aussie brands you can buy online: FunkyTrunks and Budgy Smuggler. Funky Trunks have a wider range now in the "high-cut square cuts" variety but still stock a few of the classic brief, and their designs are refreshed very regularly. They fit well and are very comfortable. And damned good to look at too! Budgy smugglers have probably the best range currently of colourful and different designs, and are designed to be eyecatching. Love most of their designs, although they wear a bit looser than other swim briefs. |
