I swim every day in my Turbo (Australian Polo Team) - I dont't understand their sizing-I have 35 waist but take XL-Can't imagine those guys on teams all have smaller waists-if so what do they make 3 other smaller sizes-all smaller. Maybe theirs are special made. I do think they are indestructable-no wear so far after more than 50 miles!

Wow PSDave - glad you are OK! And to be rushed to the hospital in a little Speedo - I'll bet a few of the hospital staff found that quite unique and interesting, although I'm sure they've seen just about everything!

Went for a bike ride, as I have hundreds of times. I love the feeling of freedom attained from pedaling around in a Speedo (it really was a Speedo today), and the benefit of the exercise. Quite a few years ago, I jumped on my bike while I was already in Speedos, and was overwhelmed by how great it felt. Been doing 1500-2000 miles a year in speedos since. I don't think my neighbors like it as much as I do, but, that's life

Thank You guys for your kind words I am happy to say the mending has gone very well. They did the new type of arthoscopic (SP) surgery were they only made 4 small incisions and then removed the gall bladder thru the navel. The upper chest incisions healed nicely, the navel is healing slower. Happily no ugly 6" scar across my gut.
The experience of arriving at a hospital almost naked was quite the experience. Talk about being the only one wearing a speedo!!! I think it helped that the nurse/orderly that seemed to be enamored by the suit was largely responsible. They may have gotten lost otherwise. When it was time to go home that was all I had to wear as I was wheeled out of the hospital. My new friend seemed to really enjoy it but to me it was like that childhood dream where you are in school in your underwear. Needless to say--i got the stares! The orderly/nurse was most attentive and gave me his number if I need help changing the dressing or emptying the drain bag. He even offered a massage. I did call him a couple times but really didn't feel like "personal nursing". I will call him now and see if the offer still holds for the "massage" I now have a policy that I take shorts to the pool in case I am ever rushed off to emergency in the future! |

PSDave, I think that's the kind of dream we all have and now you have lived the dream, maybe something you really weren't eager to actually do. Important thing is that you are recovering and healing and you may have also found a friend with benefits in the process. D67 |

PSDave,
That experience was very much similar to the online fantasy stories I often read! If I were you, I won't bring that shorts to the pool Be well! |

You are lucky your little speedo didn't get the snip. Hospitals have a tendency to cut clothes off patients, it is so much quicker and easier than undressing an unconscious body.
