25 years of Speedos
This week I commemorate 25 years in a row of wearing Speedos. I did use to wear then as a kid, but I had a long break from swimming until resuming at the age of 24. It took me 3 years of wearing square cuts to make the change over.
I remember back then trying on a pair of Speedos in the house, looking in a mirror and thinking 'how can I wear these in public?' Then on my first wear at the pool, feeling rather self-conscious. But after that first swim, there was no turning back.
