Default Luxor

Spending a few days at the Luxor in Vegas.
Does anyone know if wearing a brief swimsuit would be acceptable for an older, somewhat heavy set male?

It is a cliché that only older heavy set males would wear a brief suit. Anyone over the age of 35 is "invisible" anyway, no one will notice you. I am 75, I have known this for decades.

I was at the Luxor for a long weekend and went to the pool Friday and Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.
I wore my most conservative suit, mid thigh swim shorts.
Friday and Saturday there were not enough people in the pool to observe a trend.
Sunday there was an additional charge party at the main pool, but the other 3 pools were open to anyone staying at the hotel
The people in the party area could be seen from the other pools and when entering or leaving.
Most of the men were in swim shorts of varying lengths.
There were a substantial minority in swim briefs and a very few in thongs.

Who gets to decide what is acceptable? If it's not breaking any laws and the hotel proprietor has no issues, then it must be acceptable.
