Does this help:
http://www.internationaljock.com/spe...red,13231.html

The Speedo suits in the photo are classic Lycra 2" racing Speedos (red). This used to be the standard Speedo product in a range of colours.
Speedo appear to have discontinued them concentrating on Endurance in 7cm sides (sometimes 6.5 cm). There are signs that Speedo are introducing a new development in Endurance with more stretch, but I have only seen this in women's suits so far.
For the Lycra suits you may have to search for old stock.

It seems the solar suit is more of what I'm looking for, but don't they make one without the front seam??? If not I might have to purchase one again as I did own a solar.

Obviously they did or do make them without it.I suppose the 2 guys on the left are wearing something similar to a solar but the suit says speedo on it and not the swoosh logo except for the 3rd guy.Their Great looking speedo's.

The engine suit is too much coverage for my taste.

The Speedo Solar is a 1" side suit, this makes it a men's swim bikini and they have included a front seam pouch to give you space to fit. The Speedos in the picture you provided are 2" Lycra suits which Speedo seem to have dropped at the moment in preference to 3" Speedo Endurance.

Kiefer make a 2" suit but not in red, other companies like Maru may do too. Sadly maru don't seem to have a solid red suit but I rather like the look of this :

At the moment the best I can find in red is this:

Not sure whether it is a 2" or 3" side.

The Aussiebum Swish is like that Speedo with 2" sides and in red. They also have a couple other styles but nothing else in red.

I was disapointed that the speedo solar (all of the ones I tried) are usually 2" sides. 1" between waistband & seam but total side averages 2"... You will not find a suit like that in a US retailer. I used to see suits like this on ebay frequently (and own a few too) but when I was a teen my mom made it hard to buy as many suits I wanted. Now that I am an adult it seems that the selection just vanished when it came to foreign Speedo suits. Im sure all of by suits are genuine do to the care and build quality that is matched by my store bought speedos.
