Default Chinese University Swim Test

BBC Radio News reports that the Chinese equivalent of Harvard has introduced a swimming test for all students. To graduate all students must now swim 50m and if they can't swim when they enter the university and are first tested then they must learn and be tested again later.

Of course they must wear something during their swimming lessons and tests, lets hope it's something brief.

That's actually really interesting. There are many studies that show how physical fitness can help people congnitively by helping them focus and it is said to actually increase test scores.

I know we're just thinking about the swimbriefs, but it is very interesting.

Why do you say "of course"?
When I entered the University of Colorado, all freshman had to pass a swimming test. Allegedly, their ancient pool filters clogged easily, so they demanded the test be done in either a Speedo or totally nude. A couple guys showed up in jockstraps and were required to take them off before swimming.

Funny thing is that swimming was the only thing they tested. It didn't seem to matter if you could add & subtract, or speak English, but you had to be able to swim.

Should make swimming lessons and swimming tests mandatory no later than middle school. Got for fitness and personal safety.

Should be suits with caps.
