Does this mean the brief designs will be combined and we will see those great little Euro and Japanese Speedo briefs in US stores?

Considering the difference in the speedo designs already under the corporate umbrella, chances are the US company will run pretty much as it is now only a thinning of upper management and the money deposited into a different account. There will most likely be a stronger presence in sponsorship and promotion to the swim community. Since the sales to the mass market is now, it is doubtful there will be an expansion of styles or patterns. That will come later if they can change the image and again dominate the competition market. When corporations buy out smaller companies it seldom changes anything noticeable. Look at the Disney corporation. They have taken over ESPN, ABC TV and its multiple holdings of TV, Radio, Movie and marketing, Holding company of Star Wars, Marvel characters and publishing, Miramax Studios, Pixar Studios. Anyone working at them, unless in upper management, would never know there had been a change. Successful businesses are not purchased to change but to expand on a good thing and eliminate the dead weight. In other words -- don't expect lots of changes.
