Default Swim Jock question

So I've seen swim jocks advertised and occasionally heard guys refer to them. But I've never worn one, and I've never noticed anyone wearing them.

So here's my question: What are swim jocks for?

A) To give a well-endowed guy extra support
B) To keep a nearly worn-out suit from being too risque
C) To wear on its own, as a sexy swimsuit
D) Fetish wear
E) All of the above

Or is it something else? Do any of you wear a swimjock under your speedo?

Swim jocks go back to the days before lycra, even before nylon. In those days fabrics would go floppy in water and anything might pop out.
Swimming trunks were for a time like mini shorts or square cuts without leg elastic and a swim jock was worn to keep things in place.

As nylon square cuts with leg elastic and then swim briefs became available swim jocks were not needed. Especially as the modern competative suits had liners built into the front.

At a time when I was buying a black and a red jock Litesome jock strap for my running shorts, I also bought as Litesome swim jockstap because it was in the shop, i havn't seen one since. It was a brief lightweight jockstrap with narrow waist elastic. The leg elastic of the swim jockstrap were bigger than my speedos and tended to be visible so I never wore it in the water.

There seems to be a fashion in cruising clubs for wearing coloured jockstraps at the moment. The briefer swim jockstraps getting some attention.

Although guys swim in swim thongs i have not heard of anyone swimming in swim jockstraps alone.

Default Swm Jocks

They are still sold- any jock that has narrow waist and leg straps can be considered one. I usually carry one in the glove compartment just is case I have a chance to tale a dip on a hot day in a cool stream. You just splip it on whatever you have for underwear-especially loose boxers. When you get done just go home commando.

My answer is "none of the above". I can't imagine wearing a swim jock now, but when I started swimming as a teen, I wore one to keep everything under control in my Speedo.

Rather than add my experience to this thread, I've posted it in the stories area.

The swim jocks made sense to wear under a nylon brief when there were lots of looser fitting nylon suits out there with 3-inch sides. The jock held everything in place so stuff wouldnt move around.

But a tight-fitting lycra suit with a front panel support obviates the need for a swimming jock, since these suits automatically confine the goods making another layer of support from the jock unnecessary.

The swimmers jock might still make sense for guys wearing boardshorts that typically have a full nylon or mesh brief sewn inside as a liner. In this case the swimmers jock would be the first layer. But it would be commin to use a Lycra brief instead of a swimmers jock.

Default 2jocks=jogbra!

The "downfall" of the classic jock was cause buy two things in my view-the use of compression shorts in basket ball and other sports and the invention of Jogbra by two near neighbors of mine who cut up 2 jocks to make the pro-type of what is now a jogbra now under the Champian label!

Default jogbra

All rather confusing.
How does the cut up of two male jocks
produce a woman's bra and is Champian
Champion ?

A pic might help - Google doesn't seem
to know anything about this product.
