Warm weather is finally here and here are some more of my speedo misadventures for your amusement....as I am now DESPERATELY trying to lose the 10 lbs I gained over the winter....

Coney Island here:

This is where I got called "disgusting" by some equally loathsome old dude in riding by in bicycle shorts :

Brighton Beach, eating an apple:

You look good compared to many people I see at the Riis Park beach. I may be even heavier, but I never got any bad comments in New York ever, in decades. I do like to wear very tight flat-front swimsuits that flatten everything.
The real issue is that you have to be on or next to your Bicycle if you want to wear Spandex. I put more miles on my three bikes than on my car. Bike shorts are OK, but I wear fabric Short Shorts with 2" length below the crotch to walk around with no problem. I also tried a leather breech cloth and poncho, which got all kinds of reactions and a lot of cellphone pictures.

Those were very good photos. And those taken among the fog were amazing.

Do you do lap swimming? NYC public outdoor pools will be opening on June 27.

I agree, you look just fine.

Keep on sporting that swim brief and never mind what that other guy said.

Also, don't stress too much over that 10 pounds. Sure, it is always good to be improving your shape, but don't let it ruin your life.

You look great! Forget what people think. As long as you're happy with how you look, that's all that matters.
