Default Re: Conversion

Wearing cut offs below the knee would really look ridiculous for someone like me, for the same reason that even if I wanted to, I could never pull off the look in board shorts. Board shorts are made for guys who are probably at least 5'10" and very lean so that even if they are worn very low on the hips (which incidentally I think makes some guys look very hot), they might reach the knee or slightly below the knee. I'm only about 5'6 and 1/2" and am relatively lean for my age, but when I tried the board short look and wore them low on my hips, they came down well below the knee. With regular walk shorts or cargo shorts, I always have to shorten them so they are above the knee. And with the shorts I wear when I do my 2-3 mile walk, a 2 inch inseam is what I look for. On the beach I wear either a speedo, bikini or occasionally a boxer type suit that is tighter than a regular boxer, has a very small inseam and doesn't look too long even when I wear them low on the hips. So, in addition to board shorts looking kind of dorky, they aren't for everyone, especially those vertically challenged like me.
