A few minutes later she sent me another text that said, "By the way, the boys usually swim nude. Hope that's okay." I responded that it was fine.

Now I'm not sure if she meant her sons or all the guys. I feel like it could get weird if I ask though.

It turned out I didn't need to ask. My friend sent out an email everyone they'd invited a couple of days prior to the BBQ. Here's the text:

"Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 4th. Come by any time after 11. We'll probably start the grill around 1 for lunch.

For the newbies, dress code is bikinis for girls and birthday suits for boys. Don't worry. We'll have plenty of suncreen. :-)"

I sent her a text: "You for real?"

She responded: "Lol. Sorry, I probably should've been more clear when I invited you. If you want to pass, it's totally fine. No hard feelings."

I replied: "See you on the 4th."

When I got there a little after 11, I decided to strip in the car and walked up to their door. My friend greeted me with a big smile and led me out back. Sure enough, there were a bunch of naked guys and women in swimsuits. It was kind of a surreal afternoon, but lots of fun.
