Default First Time in Speedos

As a gay guy in my thirties, I had always had a bit of a fetish for speedos, but last week was the first week that I wore a speedo to go swimming in public. I’ve always had a lined Black Solar 1-inch speedo in the back of my drawer that I wore once for a quick dip in the hot tub when no one was around, but I always wanted the confidence to just be comfortable enough to wear what I wanted. This year, I ordered a lined lava grey speedo solar 1-inch brief and wore it at the neighborhood pool while vacationing in Fort Myers. The first time I got in the pool, it was just me and my husband, but over the next several days, I wore them regardless of the pool being crowded or not. I never heard one negative comment and I will certainly be wearing them again. What was your first time like?

I remember buying a Speedo Classic with 2 " sides and I tried it on in the house, looking at myself in the mirror, thinking, 'this is brief'.
Then the first time, at the pool, not feeling at all comfortable, and when I was walking down the steps to the pool, I felt like as was naked. But I did my swimming and I felt completely different when I left.

I had a similar experience last year when I wore briefs with 1.5" sides. I didn't know if they would be allowed even, but there was no problem, and in truth, no one could care less.

Never had a problem wearing the suits and frankly if one listens to the constant complaints one hears all day about nonsense who would care what these people think anyway. Thumbs down on thongs but regular brief swimwear are fine with me and my family/friends. Straight here.

I have a simple rule - if my local pool attendants accept my swimwear, then it's good enough for anywhere else (at least in my country) - irrespective of what other people think.

Default Briefs and "Pouch Suits"

I also enjoy wearing or 1.5 inch suits to the pool and beach. Never had an issue with nylon Aussiebum suits. What about suits like that with pouches? Have you worn them without issue as well. I have some andrew christian brief with pouches that look and feel good, but I don't know how they would be accepted in general. I have only worn them at thinly populated beaches. The only people to see them had to choose to come to see them.

Default Pouch Suit

I've never tried or seen a pouch suit. Do you have a link to an example or two?

You are absolutely right! No one really cared less. Personally for me it is incredibly more comfortable than dragging a pair of shorts through the water, so I don't really see me wearing anything else again. I didn't wear my speedo to Fort Myers Beach since I was just walking the beach, but I did see an Italian man in a very brief suit and two men in square cuts. I couldn't help wondering if they wanted to wear a brief but didn't for some reason.

I love the look of the seobean swimsuits for either swimming laps in or have worn them many times at my neighborhood pool without any issues. if not familiar with seobean the style I wear has maybe a 1 inch side

The first time I wore a speedo was at a gay pool party. There was full of men in speedo and no one was disappointed about it. They complimented speedos we are wearing and had a great time to socialize!
