Are you a smoker? Do you think it cuts into your ability to swim well?

Yes, and most definitely.

I don't think it affected me when I competed. Would smoke sometimes on the day of a meet.
My duet partner she was secret smoker too. |

I hid the fact that I was an occasional smoker when I was on swim teams and dive teams. Was a way of dealing with stress before meets.

Must admit today I smoked before my swim work out and then after. Don't think it cut into my wind for swimming.

I occasionally will have a smoke after a long swim workout at the swimming hole. Sometimes I find a Neptune there who will join me in a smoke.

My lifetime total of cigarettes smoked is less than 10. Tobacco is not my thing!
But there are other things you can smoke. “adjusting my attitude” before a laps session makes it more enjoyable. Even better, it’s now totally legal in my state. Last edited by Lap Counter : 07-06-2019 at 03:10 PM. |

Vaping after a swim is cool.
Swam about 20 lengths at the swimming hole and grabbed a vape when I came up at the raft in the middle. Was so super. |
