Default Shorts are Up

We've had a series of hot spells here in England and men and boys are not only wearing shorts but they are wearing shorter shorts.Wimbledon tennis is back on TV and they're wearing short shorts and whites again, gone are the brightly coloured knee length monstrosities of past years.
If you go into the parks or streets you will find older men leading and younger men and boys following and all wearing shorter well above the knee shorts.
If you go on YouTube; Auditing Britain perhaps you'll see English street scenes men and boys walking past in short shorts ignoring the police.
On the beaches you will find people not wanting to get their shorts wet (they have phones and wallets in their pockets) swimming in their boxer briefs which are the same design as square cut swim suits.
If you are going to the beach it's now ok to wear square cuts on the town beach and swim briefs on the slightly quieter beaches allong the shore.
There's no excuse to leave your square cuts or speedos at home, get out to the beach today while the sun shines!

That is great news! Do to mobility issues I have not been able to get out much this year to see what people are wearing this year. The last couple of years there has been an uptick in men wearing briefer shorts and speedos.
