I started going to the nude beach (Gunnison Beach in Sandy Hook NJ) in 1998, and bought a black Speedo a few weeks after. At that beach, the changing rooms are under cover, but the showers are outside. You need a swimsuit of some kind in order to shower off the excess sand and salt. I have also gone to the clothed beaches along that strip of land, but they are not as relaxing to me as the nude beach.

When the price of gas was under a dollar a gallon, I went to the beach every free day that I could. As the price went up, and I had other obligations, I managed about one trip per summer. I also found other places to be legally nude.

I do enjoy wearing speedos and other swimwear brands. I don't often seek out swimming areas where a suit is necessary, but I bring along a selection of two or three if the occasion warrants it. Sometimes a "pool party" means you are just hanging out around a pool, and no one goes in, while other times, we all take a swim. I follow the intent of the party to decide what is best to wear.
