Estim devices are great fun. There are the rings or collars that connect in pairs to the device. A common ring is made of a current carrying material such as a carbon-loaded silicone rubber. This has the advantage of being readily adjustable yet soft to the touch. In a pair, one of the silicone rings goes at the base of the penis and the other in the glans "groove near the tip. The problem is that if these rings are too dry they carry little current and can barely be felt. But there is a simple solution to the problem by lightly covering the silicone tubes with a water-based personal lube. it also helps if the penis is damp maybe in part from gel soap. Dry surfaces do not conduct current very well if at all.

The silicone rings are cinched and snugged into place and the device is turned on in a simple off-on pattern and nearly at its lowest setting. At the lowest setting you should barely be able to sense the individual pulses. But not to fear. There are other patterns and settings that will soon awaken you and answer the question "why am I doing this. I am very fond of setting 3, the three pulses on and then off for the same amount of time setting. I keep raise the level on the continuous level control too.

The device is set up so that the highest setting on the continuous control gives enough of a shock to be a bit uncomfortable not fun. The tricky part is to find the precise setting that makes you "climb the walls" with pleasure which is ever so slightly less.

These devices often come with a small butt plug that can be easily inserted, as mine did. If my prostate were still with me this accessory would likely be more fun. The butt is more sensitive to electrical current than the penis is which means generally use a lower continuous setting than you would use with the silicone rings. The difference between pure pleasure and pain is less than for the silicone rings. The prostate is located just underneath the lowest part of the rectum, which means that if you have an intact prostate, you will experience the pulses from the butt plug into the prostate via the rectum wall. Still, even without a working prostate this is still rather fun.

After my estim and butt plug "treatments," I like to go into my vacuum pump. Recently I have been using my powered pump and I have finally mastered that. The powerful vacuum the pump puts out feels really great but in particular directly after the estim treatment. I truly enjoy being a guy!
