Swim Team Comeback

There's a definite predominance of swim briefs over jammers at HS swim practices. Briefs started coming back a couple of years ago; now briefs are the norm...and colorful patterns at that!

speedos on the rise

I've actually noticed that speedos are becoming more popular than jammers for boys high school swim teams.

Cool Aruba Vacation

Aruspeed-

Yes, it is VERY quiet. I believe most of the resident do not rent their units. So if you walk by at night I'd say 25% have the lights on, generally. (Many of the units are owned by...

We stay next door from where you are... Oceania. We usually walk over and eat dinner at Tulip our first night. Have fun!

Enjoy for Fun in the Sun

My wife and I vacation each year in Aruba, usually in the late fall. We rent a condo across the street from Eagle beach, but spend most of our beach time up on Arashi and Malmok beaches -to snorkle. ...

Eyeline Swimmers

I purchased an Eyeline suit several years ago. I wear a size small (29-30 in waist), which is an Aussie size 12. I believe I order a size 14 and it was on the loose side. The cut is relatively...

Favorite Swimmers

SS99
There are previous posts on the subject. I much prefer 100% nylon suits so I my picks are 2" Caussies and 1.5 and 2.5 Classic Aussiebums.

Welcome and Good Day to You!

Tend to agree

I do prefer lower cut suits myself. But, I tend to agree that tight lycra blend briefs are not comfortable nor do they look very flattering -my opinion. I favor small briefs (but correctly sized)...

100% Nylon

Smile Caussies

Great suits....extremely comfortable...they do fade after six or so months of continual lap swimming but do not stretch out. And, they are easily dyed to restore color.

Aussiebum Fit

From what you have described I avoid the WJ feature and avoid loose suits. Don't upsize with a 100% nylon suit...a large classic should work fine. You might consider a 2" Caussie (brand) -also...

Smile New GF and Speedo

You're probably in good shape being a lap swimmer. I'm sure it will come up in conversation that one of the ways you stay in shape is lap swimming. And, no news flash that lap swimmers often wear a...

Caussies

The 2" cut are hands down my favorite suits; my only complaint is the limited color selection. They are 100% nylon and lined. They are less snug around the package than nylon/lycra and polyester...

Speedos and the wife

If we lived in Europe my wife would have no objection to my wearing speedos at any beach or pool. She thinks I look good in them and loves the tan. That said in the US, I wear board shorts over the...

Nylon Suits

The one positive about the solid color suits is that they can be dyed. I swim several miles a week and after a couple of months they start to fade out..especially blues. Have dyed blue suits...
