I have heard that men in Brazil wear more skimpier swim suits compared to our conservative counterparts here in the USA.

On many websites I have also noticed the "brazillian cut" bikinis.

Any suggestions as to what I should take. I know that it's summer time there and everyone will be on the beach. :)

When I was in Mykonos, Greece back in June I visited Elia beach. It was heaven on earth!!!!!

I thought the Brazilian tanga had largely disappeared for the boys now but you are bound to see plenty of sungas so a square cut speedo is appropriate if "when in Rome" applies on the beach - otherwise something in the style of the bodyboarding Guard already discussed would not go amiss.

Copacabana is known around the world of course but gays favor Ipanema next door I believe (and vids. on YouTube will show you what to expect).

Surprised to hear about Elia - heard that the old eye candy of its louche heyday is hard to find any more.
