Question about sizing
Hey guys,
I recently won a couple speedos off eBay and the seller messages me after auction end that the speedos I won laid flat are about 12" and 13" across. What would that be in overall waist size? I am doubting these are going to fit me as I am a 32" waist and the seller has given me the option to opt out of paying as she listed these as a men's size small and medium. Thanks in advance for your replies. |
Loaded question. Different fabrics stretch differently. The lycra and spandex suits have a lot more stretch than the nylon or polyester. You will have to try on then measure a few suits to get an idea of what works for your body. NEVER go by S M L in sizing. Some companies call a 28" inch waist is small while others call 32" small. Unless you are very lean Asian suits will be too small - even if upsized. Be cautious of fakes too -- if a Andrew Cristian suit fits well (made in US) the copies that come out of China, though look the same in pics, they are not. If you see "Asian Sizing" run -- it is a fake.

Ebay
The seller seems to be fair - take the opt-out - these are boys' size.

These are legit speedo suits from a seller in Michigan. They are the Lycra polyamide material. I agree Byron, I can't see a 12" across waist stretching to my 32" waist. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm thinking I will opt out of the purchase. Just glad a got a good seller!

Hmmm...I have a size 34 Speedo and 34 TYR - laid flat, they are both about 13.5" across at the waist, so a 12-13" suit might be about a size 32?

I have mostly 32" at home. Will have to measure them when I get home later. They are pretty hot suits too, just sucks they might be too small for me.

Should be under the Women's Bottoms thread...
These are women's lifeguard two piece bottoms, not men's suits.
