Although refreshingly shorter that what we have been seeing recently, they are still longer than the styles of the "Short shorts" era.

The guys in the short shorts seemed to move faster and with greater athletic ability than the others.
To be faced by someone moving fast in short shorts could be scary to sedentary long shorts wearers.
