Speedo events/ areas

Hey all I've found this forum to be great for new information and I've recently been thinking about getting out of this cold new England weather come early spring and looking to travel for a long weekend or something. I'd really like to go somewhere warm where I wouldn't have to pack much more than a bunch of bikinis and thongs, some sunblock and a toothbrush! On tumblr I've seen guys pics from "thong weekend " somewhere, anyone know of any events like that? Or any areas within a few hour airplane trip from new England where a guy could fit right in wearing his swim bikinis and thongs? Thanks for reading guys!!

There are two thonging weekends I know about. There is one in Fort Lauderdale, FL in late July. I attended this one from 2012 to 2016. There is another in Palm Springs, CA sometime during June. I've never been to that one, so don't really know much else about it.

Never been there, but from what I have read about Gran Canaria, there are many places on the Island where you would be overdressed in a thong!
