Mategear - acceptable for public pools?

Hey guys! About to buy some mategear swimmers. I'm looking at some of the sexier ones, but wondering which style is sexy but still appropriate for a public swimming pool while doing some laps? Trying to find the line, opinions very welcome!

Welcome to the Swimsuit board!
I have a Mo Jae II, with a drawstring, lining, flat front and full rear it is acceptable anywhere. https://mategear.com/collections/swi...=2453517664277

Rang Ji also has a drawstring and flat front for a very low-cut front https://mategear.com/collections/all...21310749900883

The Ryo Sang has a drawstring, pouch front and no lining, for a more comfortable fit that is not as low in front, https://mategear.com/products/ultra-...21362197397587

Look for a drawstring and a full height rear that won't show a crack.

I've worn the Nu Yo to public beaches, most guys can't fit everything into the tiny front but I like that fit. Here's a link to my album of beach suits, but I guess most guys want suits with bigger pouches https://photos.app.goo.gl/6gDE92iBSnaASLsTA

If you wonder whether a particular swim brief or bikini will be accepted in your local public pool it probably isn't.
Buy what you fancy, what makes you look and feel sexy; save it for around your home and garden and quiet beaches where you can be seen from a distance before being right in someone's face.
Once you have worn your suit about a bit you'll know whether people seeing you in it approve or not so you'll know whether you can wear that pool in a public pool.
Always test new swimwear in the shower as you can never quite be certain what happens when it gets wet.

Cant say i see an issue with any of those mategear. I wear seobean which look like they have less coverage.

never an issue with https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seobean-New-Swim-suit-Mens-Bikini-Swimming-Trunks-Swimwear/322061381153?hash=item4afc5aae21:m:mfN4v4VwgLonYfC oruRMfDw&var=510993202262

or

when i use to swim at my local YMCA. unfortunately cant afford the cost to stay a member there so only wear that style swimsuit at my local neighbor hood pool in the summer or on the beach when i go on vacation.

If you're wearing for for lap swimming, it's going to be under water most of the time and no one will see it. ;)

Vega, I have the Seobean suit you posted in blue that has the center crotch seam. That suit is perfectly fine in practically any public setting. I wear my Neptune Scepter suits at the Y for lap swimming and have never had a remark or anything that suggest its too skimpy. The Seobean would fit in there quite well.

what do you guys think of this one, the cut isnt skimpy but it has a little mesh:

and this one the cut is a little more skimpy:

See, I like that second one a lot better!

I wouldn't be able to deal with the seam up the middle of the pouch on that first one. The second one has more of a proper pouch in the front, but it is not excessive.

So yeah, my choice would be the second.

BikenSwim 01-15-2019 09:06 PM

The first suit would not be comfortable with the seam splitting it up the middle. Note that there is plenty of stock in all sizes, a sure sign that no one is buying it. The second suit would fit nicely and look nice, note that almost all is sold out except Red, my favorite color. No drawstring, so don't dive with it!

Mategear has an Instagram section for better pictures. The unshaved models get the most likes and comments https://www.instagram.com/mategear/?hl=en

If you think a suit may be too skimpy, then it probably is. Please wear a regular Speedo, TYR, or other competition swimsuit to a public pool and keep your skimpier gear for more private locations.
