Tunneling
1 Attachment(s)
I swam competitively in college in the 90's in the days before jammers. We wore tiny form fitting racing suits. The concept was the less you wore and the tighter it was the faster you could go. We even downsized them, as if they weren't small enough. This often resulted in butt crack showing and we called it 'tunneling'. The guy in the picture is tunneling. Actually I think it feels and looks good. Any opinions on how a speedo should fit the butt? Any tunnelers out there?
|
When it comes to swimming (or any other athletic activity) less IS definitely better.
I hate jammers for swimming and those Gawd Awful "Half Pants" for running. Bring back the pre 90s speedos and shorts ASAP. |
welcome
Yes, does look good. Have not heard of tunnelling before but pic there (with neat tan line also) definitely belongs in cool photos.
Bum cleavage often to be seen with the the sexy little Japanese suits of course (and their downsizing sometimes seems to be double or even triple!). On a technical point is it in fact unadvisable in terms of competitive swim speeds where a small area of water resistance is created ? (not that I'm complaining) |
Speedos and running shorts
Quote:
YES, please bring back Speedos and short running shorts. Of course, my running shorts happen to be Speedo brand. I've removed the liner and cut the side seams so they are split to the waist. Feels like you're not wearing anything, and some days when I go out the door for a run I have to look down to make sure I've got something on. Being a home (and hiking) nudist, sometimes I forget!! |
I never heard of "tunneling" and I'm from the same time period college late 80's early 90's. I'm sure we had a similar term but can't recall at this moment. I like the jammer not for swimming but for running or hiking I like how the jammer keeps the muscles from tiring as quick. I feel the difference when I wear the regular running shorts.

follow up...
I forgot to say also water polo: http://31.media.tumblr.com/3588a2002...zsno1_1280.jpg
I think definitely not the right image: http://guycodeblog.mtv.com/wp-conten...guy-speedo.jpg CD to turn his eyes away : http://1.blogspot.com-T6lfyTq5tH0/Tf...closeup+x2.jpg (this was in fact a guy promoting Speedo Endurance by saying this is what used to be his swimwear before he found their wonderful new jammers). An article with a girl's point of view (and with a strange anatomy perhaps as she refers to a kick in the balls): http://www.mediocreathlete.com/swimm...g-is-bullshit/ |
apologies..
Bad third link above which should be http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T6lfyTq5tH...closeup+x2.jpg

Re. post#5
Yes, strange word - to make sense a noun is required, not a verb.
(no.2 sounds like cruelty to animals and no.3 must be docking): http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...term=tunneling |
Tacky Taco

This is apparently Taco-Bell's response to an Illinois sophpomore who broke all his school's swimming/diving records and wanted a custommade speedo to say "Think Outside The Buns" |
"tunneling" looks hot. specialy when you are very slim and you show a "little more" of you.

another hot tunneler

Nice low speedo fit on this swimmer (his club ID not clear from cap in hand) |

Re. post#9 yes, we know the story but should I suspect a little photoshopping here on a certain tv interview clip? |
downsizing to tiny
Maybe this guy has gone a little too far with this choice of speedo for his particular butt as he seems to have achieved some overflowing instead of sexy tunneling:

I could easily forgive him.
|
I forgive him; his mini bikini from Mate Gear is on the way and he is practicing on how to wear it when it arrives :)
|
I remember in college I too had the tight speedo for swim meets and with a bubble butt I always had "tunneling". My girlfriend at the time used to give me a big hug after a winning meet and as she did she would stick a flower in the exposed "tunnel". Since it was usually a daisy that she had picked outside the swim arena, my team mates soon nicknamed me "Daisy"
|
to Daisy Dave
LOL - unique story!
|
hahahahahahahaha!!!!
Did she have a tunnel as well? Maybe she was jealous that all the girls were checking you out, the boy with the cute ass! She had to leave some sort of indication that you were taken. :D |
maybe....
.....at least her choice more comfortable to bear than a rose!
|
Nice story :D...
I did learn a downside to tunneling. Last sat I put on my shirt as I was leaving the beach and I didn't shake it out well enough.... Too much sand made it into my speedo. |

Not much space for sand retention in this one for sure - but can anyone read the lettering on the bum? (what's left of it that is) |
Recent visit to Lussier Hot Springs Canadian Rockies ;)

Interesting...
Didn't know BC has subsurface fissures like NZ and Iceland.
(tris coming on I see) |

Great suit and photo!
A great suit and photo, NJ

Yes, the suit looks very nice on you!!

building enough glutes to show ample tunneling
1 Attachment(s)
I presume the diver in the pic works out his butt (glutes) to have such nice muscle in order for the skimpy bikini to form that tunnel.
Even from the quads one can tell that they look like they are quite worked out. Imagine this hottie in Mate Gear Mini Bikini :D |
Thank you Sebbie! Thank you Afewgoodmen!
It was Aussiebum Squad Royal Blue. I also feel that the around 3" sides look better for my body shape. |
also...
..... thank you Byron for noting triceps.
Btw thanks for extensive geology article from which I learned a lot |
Quote:
I also thanks Byron for mentioning "subsurface fissures". I was only a tourist to the Rockies. I didn't know much of its geology, only knew the popular tourist spots. Just after you mentioned "subsurface fissures", I then had the interest of knowing more about it by searching on the internet. |
Long time no see!
Anyway, from a competitive swimming point of view, wouldn't tunneling slow me down due to drag? Now I know why I swim slow.... |
quite possible
(see last line of post#3)
Where have you been Chris - any tri events for you? (new term now ?) |
muscles
LOL - always shortened - glutaneous maximus takes a lot of typing
(and I see afewgoodmen must agree) |
I'm great! Just trying balance tri and school. I had one race this season but I got wrecked in the swim because a guy knocked off my goggles :(
I can totally see someone's suit coming off while diving due to tunneling |
where is school? don't have give me the exact name..but state is ok.
are you playing water polo? diving? |
I'm a triathlete in Texas! I'm planing to do the half ironman next October :D
|
Welcome back skinnykid, what did you wear in the triathlon you attempted?
|

Amazing!!! Wishing you the best of luck! Please feel free to post some pics of it. Would love to see that! :) |

I posted a picture to ask if a speed is too revealing. I lost some fat now and I look skinny now. http://www.mensswimsuitboard.com/for...read.php?t=664 |
Oh..I remember that post!
What did you end up doing with the white speedo? Was it very revealing coming out of the water? |
