Hard to believe I'm the first person to comment on tonight's 60 Minutes feature on Michael Phelps. Yes, he's getting ready for his 4th Olympics and looking good. Even better, we got to see LOTS of the Speedo racing briefs he likes to train in.

What a wonderful way to start the week. Checking out the board, cup of coffee, and the 60 min. piece.

Good Speedo shots to be sure, but the best is that he seems to have gotten it together. Hard to remember how young he is.

Is 60MINS a weekly CBS program ?
(have somewhere seen a detailed analysis of his physical

60 minutes is a weekly Sunday news program on CBS - not news in the usual sense but close to 3 segments of somewhat investigative news.

I don't think it would really be a 'comeback' for him - he did cut WAY back on his training for a year after the 08 Games, but has been training hard the past 2 years, and posting some VERY swift times on the scoreboard the past 3 or 4 months at various meets here in the U.S. Next month the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials begin, so we will see how he does there. By the way, he has a new ad on U.S. television for Head and Shoulders shampoo - I just saw it for the first time about two weeks ago. Can you believe it was actually filmed last August at the pool where I swim? But I didn't see him, the pool was closed during filming!

There is no question that Phelps is the an incredible swimming story, and this video also showed he is in many ways just a normal guy. He has inspired so many swimmers. Oh sure, he did some crazy and stupid things, but who hasn't as a twenty something. I love watching him, I love watching him swim, I love the way he looks in a Speedo. I am actually envious of his photo shoot for SI... to get to pose as one of the world's best in as Anderson called it "a tiny swimsuit." It must have been tough as a str8 guy to lay there with a really cute girl hanging off him in that tiny brief. Damn... to be Michael Phelps. No matter what anyone says, the guy is and always will be a legend. He is absolutely an amazing athlete!

Love the look of the strings handing out on the guy in the center... they are all great looking swimmers! Strings out says "I'm done with the workout, let's relax."
