Video from Australia, which looks like from some time ago:

Byron 05-05-2014 06:57 PM

good vid.

Maybe Seventies - and good to see it all calmly discussed (but then it was in Oz)

(also perhaps this guy has been tanning and wearing something similar: http://37.media.tumblr.com/16750d18a...qruho1_500.png)

Byron 05-05-2014 07:23 PM

but this guy ?......

confusing - one jock or two? - seems to be just one perhaps:

quick and easy

Not seen one of these old bikini sidelinks in a long time:

Byron 07-09-2014 03:07 AM

also....

......a grey bikini with the belt buckle side link again which has been so hard to trace: http://38.media.tumblr.com/5f374f8fc...zpgno1_500.jpg

Fun Video. I LOVE bikinis. That girl at 2:11 was cute... Pity the hypocrisy tho lol It is hard to find sidelinked bikinis now

Hom made those suits in the 70's and they were great. The fit was perfect and I was confident nothing was showing that shouldn't be. They also made them with side clips and velcro closures. Wish they still made them -- had a great tan and they were well made and held up for years. (unlike today's suits) Hom also made a great g-string suit in those days -- miss them too
Rufskin has put one with the same cut on the market this season but haven't had a chance to try them yet.

HOM nostalgia

Yes indeed - thought I knew something of them somehow from the past.
My searches of recent times did come up with Rufskin somewhere but then I could not find their connection to that design.

Thanks for link - Galeno seems to come closest with side string but no sign of buckles/clasps

Not a Rufskin as far as I can tell and we do not of course know the age of the pics. which have been blogged in several places. Might get some more clues in time, nevertheless.
LOL - take care there - if the side buckle is metal and your are asleep on the beach on a very hot day you will be branded like a steer. :)

Byron 07-30-2014 10:20 AM

good fit...

Guy looking just right in his tight black Joe Schnyder:

very nice...really like Joe Snyder suits...

shaulis 07-31-2014 10:35 AM

Good Fit

I love my Joe Snyder suits because of the narrow pouch. It makes me look bigger than I am

shaulis 07-31-2014 10:51 AM

I stay away from suits that have metal clasps precisely because of the metal burning me. I had marks on both hips for awhile as a reminder to never wear that suit to the beach again.

Byron 08-01-2014 08:57 PM

Joe Snyder...

Good to see a few JS fans (not every guy can wear them well) - and thanks for spelling corrections too.

:D Ah, me like very much - and what were you wearing when getting a good tanline ?

solarguy 08-02-2014 12:43 AM

Almost always wear a speedo solar. I think I have one on as soon as I get home from work on Friday afternoon until Sunday night!!!

Solar

Wow - I'm glad I asked ! :)

Byron 08-09-2014 07:50 PM

vintage

Bikinis not so new it seems: http://33.media.tumblr.com/dbdaae377...safso1_500.jpg

Great Pic of Vintage suits

I am so happy to see that small bikini briefs were around for years. I believe there is a slow comeback going on. I was at Rehoboth, De yesterday and saw a number of Andrew Christian suits being worn at the beach. seems they all came from one shop, Beach Essentials. I know because I asked several guys where they got the great suits.

Along the seafronts you will find loads of shops selling plastic buckets and spades, inflatable toys and junk souvenirs, if only one of them were to concentrate on brief bikini swimwear they would corner the local market but they prefer to sell the stuff they are used to.

Byron 08-10-2014 05:39 PM

souvenirs....

Can you remember the little glass domes containing a snowfall and saying "a present from.........." (can they still be found on sale ?)

Byron 08-18-2014 02:46 AM

JS - a reminder

Out in Venice there is a guy who not only makes speedos & thongs but he'll make a custom suit if asked too.

I for one have thought about making a brick & mortar mens swimsuit store but I haven't got around to writing the business proposal.

Now that is a nice suit BTW. I like the color

Byron 08-19-2014 11:47 PM

Unnatural?

Whaddya think? Is this really a naked guy with a blue bikini painted on?
http://38.media.tumblr.com/38870ecbf...q0h2o1_500.jpg

shaulis 08-20-2014 03:56 AM

It appears photoshopped to me.

Byron 08-20-2014 04:03 AM

fake

:( Yep - even tan for body and face don't match

It certainly looks photoshopped to me. The guy doesn't even look real - looks like a distorted cartoon mock-up of a bodybuilder.

Byron 08-23-2014 06:37 PM

Best orange bikini ?

I vote for the guy: http://i.imgur.com/wtDwB.jpg

It is but not in the way many of us think it is. It has a simple filter on it and it also is a very low resolution. Also that is not a beach tan but a bed tan. Typically it is the other way around. It also has been way oversharpened.

shaulis 08-23-2014 08:57 PM

Thanks for the information knikon. I learned something new today.
