Boys and men are now starting to do synchronized swimming and discovering that this one time preserve for female swimmers is hard to learn and do. The girls and women that do have incredible strength, flexibility and endurance...........probably even more than the typical water polo player.

Synchro with the guys is cool. Tom in that video is pretty good at it.

The guys lucky not to have to wear headpieces or the Knox gel.

The guy trying to learn synchro is discovering his not as flexible, has a different level of buoyancy and the guys often sink by their legs. Also muscle does not float.

In one of my novice recreational synchro classes, I have five guys that come out to try the sport.

Two are former competitive swimmers.

All were discouraged because the sport was labelled just for females.

There was a synchronized swimming club in high school
 

When I was on high school diving team, the synchronized swimmers had the pool after our practices.

Would sometimes stay and watch them practice.

They were incredible. The girls were so strong and their practice was intense. They did lots of deck work and exercises even before they dove in.

That video reminded me of high school d ays watching the school synchronized swimming club. They were so incredible.

I had to be flexible in diving but the girls had to that in and under the water.

The girls also looked so great in their pretty bathing suits. I don't think I could even do one thing in that video you posted.
