Those are great suits and you guys look great in them. Joe Snyder has some really awesome designs. I love those minimal pouch suits.

I would love to post more selfies here on the thread, but I really struggle to upload my photos onto this message board. Every time it tells me they are too large, and as I am only using an iPad, it’s almost impossible to take them down to the size required. Does anybody else have this problem, and if so any suggestions as to how I can get my photos uploaded on here so you guys can all see them? :-)

You can upload to an outside photo website, for example Flickr, imgbb, etc. Then copy the URL sharing link of the photos and "insert link" into the message here.

Bodybuilding progress. S L O W , but getting somewhere.
Bulked up 15 lbs during winter months.

This, what I am wearing, is a custom made posing suit !

NE_OH_thonger 05-02-2018 11:55 PM

Looking good, NJHunkguy. Glad you're starting to see results. Great posing suit too, it really works with your build.

Thanks NE_OH_thonger ! The suit was made by "Posing Suits by Nina". There are four choices of front/side and four choices of back styles to mix and match. Selection from a series of fabrics.

This particular suit I was wearing, it's fabric color looks like pinkish under the light. But it is actually red fabric with silver dots throughout the surface.

Finding it was a story on it's own. It had been a few years ago. When I saw a photo of a bodybuilder wearing this bikini posing suit getting prep for his competition. The suit was very eyes catching, I wanted one for myself. After many years of searching online, until recently, I eventually found the original maker of the suit, I found Nina's website. She told me that, she personally made that suit. Wow, Thanks!

My Kiniki tan through for this summer :)
Micro swim brief version.

solarguy 05-09-2018 08:51 PM

Is that you in the picture Frog? If it is, you should never wear clothes...always be in your speedo! Awesome pic

Frog 05-10-2018 05:42 AM

Yes it is me on the picture. During summer I can spend all the day in my swim brief. The less the better. Kiniki micro brief only at home, too skimpy for public pool and no drawstring... but I have a Kiniki tan through brief, more conservative in the shape and with a drawstring, for lap swimming and for the beach.

MISpeedo 05-10-2018 04:04 PM

Frog,
Great looking suit on you! Can see why you like it. Suit in your photo doesn't look too skimpy for a public pool with your body. Sure no one would say anything.

Frog 05-10-2018 05:46 PM

What is funny with this suit is that it is see through when not on your skin but you see nothing when you wear it.
It is very light weight and dries very quickly in just a few minutes !

Minimalist75 05-11-2018 01:43 AM

I bought one but since it exposes the top of the bush and crack, I agree that it is not for public, I may wear it in the sections of my back yard that are not private enough to be nude.

Bulk may be overrated

Hey NC!

You look great. (I've seen your pics on the other forum too) For what it is worth, I know "bulking up" is great when you are young. Being bigger and stronger than almost everyone else I am sure is great. But take a look around at bulked up guys in their 40s and 50s and beyond and what do you see, mostly? FAT, FAT, FAT! So my advice (again, for what it is worth) value cut and tone over bulk. Then you are still more likely to look great as you age. Thanks for sharing your pic. Keep up the good work.

How do you work on your obliques definition? Sit ups? Your stomach is nuts. I wish I enjoyed the gym half as much as you seem to, lol.

Swimmboy 05-18-2018 08:24 PM

NCStr8 and Frog,

You both look ABSolutely FINE in your swimsuits - no improvement needed, in my humble opinion.

I ordered a Kiniki micro and found that it exposed the top of my bush and crack, so I then got a standard brief to wear most places. May use the micro for yard work in parts of my back yard that have partial view from the neighbors.

Frog 05-19-2018 03:33 PM

Yes micro bikini is very low rise. Just for home for me. But very comfortable. I wear it only when alone or with my family. Aussiebum Classic 1.5 is much more conservative so you can wear it everywhere if you are confident enough (in dark colors of course)

I appreciate it. I'll take that risk. I've always wanted to get into body building. Represent the speedo on the beach. Lol

Torchwatch 05-21-2018 03:36 AM

Yes body build if you wish to but don't get sucked into taking steroids etc. I know a young man that body built and took the drugs and it caused his breasts to grow and the general effect to look strange rather than muscular. He has realised his error and has come off the steroids and had to work to recover proper shape and definition.

Ncstr8male 05-21-2018 03:39 PM

Sounds like he didn't have everything he needed to run a cycle.

90% of my fitness routine is diet. The other 10% is in the gym. You can do millions of crunches and won't get abs unless you eat accordingly. I'm a long way from my fitness goals but I appreciate the compliment.

In order to bulk up, one has to eat at a surplus (with the right food). Websites like, Bodybuilding .com, have articles with calculators according to your body weight, height and depends on your goals to bulk, maintain or shred. It would tell you the appropiate amount of required calories, carbohydrate, protein and fat intake.

To get big, the diet plan has to accompany a weight lifting plan(muscles building program). For example, a 5 days plan, each day will be training specific body parts and each 5 days cycle will be completely trained the whole body.

Bulking usually done in winter when that's the time to cover up to keep warm. And in spring people will start shredding in prepare for warmer days, when people wear speedos or topless / shorts.

You probably seen pro bodybuilders pre-preparing their meal boxes for at least 6 meals a day. I am not a serious bodybuilder, I only eat snacks in between meals. Somethings like hamburger, nuts, whole wheat bread, etc. I was able to gain in a rate of may be around 0.75 lbs per week during winter months.

Shredding (cutting) would be done by reduce calories intake and increase appropiate amount of cardio for maintaining muscle mass.

Yep. Already on that track. Need 3400 calories, 200 carbs and 220g protein daily.

Sure you can use those numbers. Have you been eating at that rates for sometime? Since you said little progress. If you have been using that and ate like that for sometime and see not much gain, you may have to eat more. Those numbers were for reference and everyone have different metabolism. That's not exact science.

If you live in the northern hemisphere, summer is around the corner. Like everyone else should be cutting now. Wait for the fall to start bulking.

I do concern of your 10% only gym. What do you do that 10%? Seems to be a bit too little.

Your misunderstanding my statement. In general most of your "fitness program" will be subject to your eating habits. I've put on 8 lbs in 3 months. Started at 178, cut to 166, bulking back to 174 currently.

Yes, That's alright. I was trying to get more exact information, so we can have a conversation on bodybuilding. May be even help a bit.

You look good right now, Sure, go ahead. I am eager to see you transformation plus wearing your favorite suits.

10-4. I just picked up a gym partner. He's new to lifting so I'm having to train him. But the awesome part is, now I can push my full potential with a spotter.

Years ago, I was in a bodybuilding forum frequently. And they were discussing the advantages of having a training partner. Good for you!

I keep posting about swimming laps at the Y pool. Did my 2K and took a quick selfie while getting ready to leave. I can't believe how good it feels to push 2,000 yards behind behind me and relax afterwards.

Wow! Looking good lapswimmer!

Love that little brief! It looks great on you!

lapswimmer 06-21-2018 06:45 PM

Thanks so much MrMusik. I have worn many different brands, cuts, and materials thru the years, and enjoyed them all, of course. When i discovered this suit, it was as if they had designed it for me, or at least my taste in briefs. I have several and have posted several of them on the site under other topics. With a full butt coverage, the low front is balanced in the public setting, I think.

I am still working hard to get the old body in the shape I want. In fact, wearing this suit or its mates, is partly my inspiration for the advancing workouts in the pool. On July 4th I will wear the US Flag again and post that puppy.

I really appreciate your kind compliment as it does inspire me to keep on workin'.
