Hi notmyj,
I really appreciate this pictures. I have been wanting to delve into some briefer styles than what I have (I only have a few breif suits that I have worn in public, and my favorite is a 1.5" side), but I have a problem with the men's suits. I want something that doesn't over-emphasize my front, (i.e. I don't want to hide it, but I don't necessarily want to put it front and center) and I want something with a bit more cut in the butt. For example, I have this bikini and love the cut in the back: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/016...4x1024.jpeg?66 I wore it out tanning with my girlfriend and she hadn't known I had got it. She immediately commented on my butt and likes when I show a little bit. So I'm fascinated by your bikini choices. I love the idea of having a cheaper bikini available, and it looks like a lot of female cuts are really more like what I want. I would probably stick to boring solids though. I love the idea of a rouched-back, but I tried one on once and realized it wasn't for me. I think my butt is too small for it to work, at least in the one I tried....I love the orange one though! Which roxy bikini is it? The back cut looks perfect. I need to figure out what sizes I would get if I tried some female bikini bottoms. I usually wear a 28 in jeans, a 30 in dress pants, and for a regular Speedo suit, a 30 is pretty tight. |
Here is the orange one from Roxy
http://www.roxy.com/surf-essentials-...ectedColor=blk Its available in different colors. if I were you I'd start with a medium as it would probably fit just right. You may want to look on eBay for the same one, you may be able to find it for cheaper. Pretty much all the Roxy ones would give you the cut you want. Intact, I am getting rid of a few that I have if your in the USA, send me your address and I will send one or two for free. Someone here sent two thongs a while ago, so I'd like to pay it forward by sending out two that I have. |
Yeah.. I have been doing some searching. For the price of just one of the male bikinis I was looking at I can easily get quite a few female ones.. sounds like a winner for me.

I actually own a womens suit and I love it. I do agree with the first post in that many mens suits fit like a garbage bag over your stuff. The up's with a female suit is that there is no frontal seam and often the fit is nicer. The downside is the 2.5" crotch... Ill stick mainly to mens suits but i do see why some go for a female suit.
One of my favorite suits (my newest) is a Gabriel homme Suit for men but it has several features I LOVE. No front seam (designers attempt to make room for junk when no seam does just fine). Draw Cord slides nicely and waist not too tight, Back is not too full, and where the crotch meets the butt there isnt a yard of fabric. While this is a mens suit it features everything that the average female suit does and few mens suits do... |
Gabriel homme
Is it one of these? http://gabrielhomme.com/4-swimwear (I like Midnight)
|
No but thanks for the link. I want many of these and didn't even think to look online. It is a black and white striped suit.

Two months later.... I stopped in a somewhat local swim shop yesterday which to my dismay only had womens swimwear. Not giving up easily I looked through he selection and picked three suits. I wore the first one today to malibe and the experience was wonderful. It flattered my figure, didn't ride up of chafe, held my penis and testicles in place but didn't constrict them too much, and I have never felt more free in my life lol. The crotch was small but everything fit nicely.
Pics to come soon |
i tried a girls bikini bottom and it seemed to fit okay until i started some normal movements. There just wasn't enough material to keep my package contained. i never thought i was that endowed but when confronted with a bikini bottom designed for a female, i guess i am. You are lucky you can fit into them so you and your girlfriend can share a wardrobe
|
Lol I don't know if she would fit my size but I think it depends on the bottoms. The ones with a 2.5" or 3" crotch fit as long as they broaden to 3"-4" less than 2" Inches from smallest point. I'm sure many womens suits wouldn't fit me but the one I wore fit me running, climbing, jumping and I wasnt worried about anything showing. http://knikon.tumblr.com/image/103440947098

I just ordered one of these: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-spdgwh/s...ns-swim-bottom and it fits VERY well. If you get hard, not so much, but if you can keep things under control, it's probably one of the best fitting suits I have. I was very pleased with it being my first women's bottoms purchase.
|
What size did you order?
What is your weight, waist and hip measurements? I wear women's bottoms sometimes too, but getting the right fit is difficult. The fit will be different between two like sizes if one is a competition suit and the other is a fashion suit. The competition suits are made to fit tight and small. I was looking at the suit you mentioned so would appreciate your info, thanks. |

I ordered a Large, and I wear a 34 in Tyr, Large in Aussiebum, and Large in Andrew Christian |
Finding Female Bikini Bottoms
I have successfully been wearing female bikini bottoms for years. I love to shop the "sale" items in the sporting goods stores. They have some wonderful prices and some great suit cuts. The trick is to learn the female size number that fits.
I like shorter, lower riding shorts as well and find that the female hiking shorts and athletic shorts work great. Again it just requires knowing the size number. When in doubt, pick up the garnet and go to the mens dept. and get a male garnet to try on. Use the dressing room and try on the female garnet to confirm the fit and style. |
you are lucky to be able to wear the girls swim wear. I ran across a sale on separates a couple years ago that had the bikini bottoms for as low as $1.50. I bought quite a few of various styles (tie on, Brazil, brief) and was quite pleased with my find. I discovered when I put them on that several didn't have enough material to keep me contained when I moved. Some of them fit quite well though and if they had a draw sting they would be perfect. (they tend to end up half way to my knees when I dive in. Since then I have never found a girls bikini bottom that fit.
Jogging shorts have always been pretty much uni-sex. What I like about the girls (or Dolphin) is that they don't have the underpants built in so work better for speedo cover ups. |
I think part of the issue is that Crotches on womens suits are getting narrower. Alos there is a trend for a Thong type back both which limit unisex use...

I've recently discovered women's jeans...by accident really. I picked up a pair of low-rise jeans off the men's clearance rack at Nordstroms and they turned out to be Women's jeans. They're currently my favorite pair! When my income tax return comes in, I'm going shopping at Buckle with a personal shopper to get a few more pair :D Their sizing is weird :P |
Women's Jeans
I agree that some women's jeans are great. I like the very low cut you can get in some women's suit. Lee and Levi have some very nice extremely low cuts and they fit well. Sizing is a little tricky, you have to try them on

One summer I was away from home and had the chance to go to a secluded beach in the Tidewater area of Virginia. It was a long walk to get to it and about half way into the mile trek I began to see guys hanging out sunning themselves.
The further down the beach you got, the smaller the suits. When I reached the end of the area, there were some naked, some in thongs, some in briefs but no one in board shorts. No one cared what you were wearing. One guy wore a black satin pair of bikini briefs from Joe Boxer and looked damn nice in them. I asked him if he ever wore them to a pool; he didn't but usually wore a woman's bikini bottom when he would swim laps. I decided to check out some women's bikini bottoms at different stores and found that I could pick up three or four for the price of one Aussiebum. I now wear women's bikini bottoms, never worry about what is said, and think they are more comfortable then some speedos I own. |

Would love to see some pictures of you at the beach in the bikini bottoms. Also, what beach were you at in Virginia BEACH? It sounds like my type of place. |
Virginia
It was at Grandview Beach. More information is on Squirt.org. I came back to VT that summer but get down there every year and always ride my bike out there for some sun (and occasional fun!).

Hi all, signed onto the board to ask a question about bikini bottoms if I may.
I've bought and worn bikini bottoms before, partly because of the kink factor, mostly because I couldn't buy locally, a pair of men's briefs that had the cut and look I wanted. ( cost played a part too, they were on sale! ) I'm looking for a new pair at the moment, and wonder if any of you have come across what I want. Here is a link to something very close. http://www.swim2000.com/20/product/s...,#.VRH8wiisGCw These have a smooth front ( men's would also be acceptable, if the front was mostly smooth, small seam at the gusset area is OK ) but they have a fairly snug looking seam at the rear. I have the devil of a time finding such. When I do, they almost always are cut too brief in the men's styles. Typical of this is the Japanese Arena styles, they usually are cut low enough at the rear to show crack, not what I'm after. I'll probably be buying the ones linked to, but to be perfect, I want the fit to be very close at the back, and I really want something in brighter colours, orange would be fabulous! Any of you know sellers that have such? Patterned is OK, as long as it isn't all hearts and flowers or hello kitty! One other problem I come across all the time, is retailers who don't provide a rear view, or make it so blurry I can't make out a seam if there is one, argh! |

That's my backup plan if I ever don't have a suit (which is rare...as I carry 2 in the car and 1 in my backpack at all times :P) |
This thread's a bit of an eye-opener. I've worn panties -- both women's panties and the kind available at xdress/bodyaware -- in the past, because I do like a lot of the fabrics, features, patterns and cuts available, but I've drawn the line at getting into bikini bottoms. But it looks like all the perks of panties are also the perks of bikini bottoms; they're cheaper and have a lot more options. I'm going to have to look into this!

I was shopping for a patriotic suit for Memorial Day, and all of the men's briefs were $40+. I was at Wal-Mart picking up some last-minute things and saw their OP Women's Bikini bottom for $7. DONE

Yeah, the OP bikini bottoms have some great designs. What's the sizing on those compared to mens sizing? |

I wear a 34" Tyr/Speedo and a 12 in OP |

New guy here and I love wearing bikini bottoms. Here I am in a Sporti
Attachment 517 |
Outstanding Sporti photo
That Sporti 517 looks great on you! It doesn't "flatten" everything out, but rather it looks very natural.
Photos of the back and photos of both the back and front when wet would be very appreciated. I may have to start shopping! |
