I happily wear frilly panties and side ties, and love the feel of wearing a micro-skirt. I find men's swimwear dull - plucking up courage to try on some bikinis bottoms for this summer's beachwear!

I'm a bit older now, but still wear speedo swimsuits, they do fit well and feel great. I like the bright colors and the new materials. They do make nice summer underwear too. I do have several pairs including some older ones that are still good condition and also fit nicely.

I got my first Speedo at about age 10 when I was forced to join the swim team to really learn how to swim. I got it in the team color - solid red. I then would buy my own suits. All I've ever worn was Speedo style.

I think some of the older Speedos had more like 4" sides. Then they got to 3", and some guys got them undersized which made the whole thing smaller due to stretch. The older material was more nylon like, less lycra.

I got my last actual Speedo in 1990, then moved on to better/smaller brands. I tried on my first .5" side suit in the late 1970s, loved the style, but the print was horrible, so I passed on it, and waited for the swimsuit world to catch up to me. I got my first string-side suit in 1982 (Diva). I've had suits by Male Power, Gazelle, Skinz, and so on.

I've moved on to smaller suits now, and prefer ones with front contour. I'm doing thongs and g-strings where permissible now, but have conservative suits as back-up, and even own a set of shorts (gasp!).

Writing this reminded me of one odd thing. As a teen and young adult I used to wear a jock under the Speedo. I guess I felt I needed protection, from what or why, I don't know. I know part of it was the embarrassment of getting out of the water with the clingy Speedo showing all my bits in great detail, and the jock hid some of that. But the straps always popped out and had to be re-tucked in. Finally, my girlfriend said, "Lose the jock, man!". I said I would if she would wear it for me, and she did once, so I've been jockless ever since. Ah the strange stuff we've done.

My uncle is a bit younger than you and he was also a swimmer. He told me a lot of guys wore jocks (swim jocks) under their speedos in the 60s and early 70s. His dad told him he needed it. Speedos then were typically a bit looser nylon and the bits did show. Somewhere here a while back there was a thread on jocks under speedos. It was largely for modesty and especially if you got a boner or semi.

Hey, I'm 29 and gay. However, like many others on here I'm not 100% one way, and I do find myself oddly attracted to some women... definitely wouldn't say I was bisexual though. Definitely gay! Go figure!

Loved speedos for as long as I remember but during my mid teens, opted for shorts as I was self-conscious and was worried in case I didn't 'measure up'. Grew out of that, thank goodness, and now wear my speedo briefs with pride.

i got into speedos when i was in junior year of HS. unlike many of you who started out wearing them in swim classes/teams, I was overweight and already knew I was attracted to speedos/bikini underwear on men. My dad wore bikini underwear for awhile until he got older.

i went on a family vacation with extended members to Cartagena. they love the beach so we stayed at a beach hotel and everyone is expected to hang out there almost all day. since i was overweight, i was relegated to the board shorts. but then i saw my mom's cousin wearing the 5" running shorts and underneath it a 3" Speedo. i couldn't help but ogle at him in his outfit. no one in our family gave it any mind so whenever possible i would position myself to look up his shorts to see his bulge.

later on in life, after losing considerable weight throughout university and life after, i revisited the speedo attraction and went full on it. I started out with Aussiebum square cut trunks and then as the weight came off, so did the fabric. finally, i bought two 1" Gary Madjell bikini briefs for my vacations and two Joe Snyder unlined bikinis for swimming at home.

During the end of the summer in 1972 is when I first had an interest in Speedos after one of my all older female siblings put up in her room a poster of the Olympic champion Mark Spitz who was wearing some stars and stripes ones. Until then I didn't have any knowledge of them, just that they were similar to the style of the bottoms that my sisters wore. As a joke with my sisters, they suggested that I could try on one of their bikini bottoms to look like the Olympic champion. I did and liked it so much that I wore it to the beach with them.

My sisters would sunbathe at the nearby topless section of Zuma beach and that's where I first began wearing a dark blue Speedo with stars in the fall of 1972. They would work on getting their baby oil dark tans, whereas, I spent the entire day surfing. I usually was the only surfer who wore Speedos.

The next summer I completed the mile swim at a summer camp. The other boys made fun of my wearing of Speedos, but I was the tallest and the fastest swimmer in the camp. The row boat that we followed in the mile swim would stop and they would whack me in the head to slow me down in order for the other boys to catch up. I didn't like group swims after that and so during high school in 1973 I avoided my coaches pleas to join the swim team. I was tall and thin, but never have liked being around other boys due to they made bullying jokes of my severe gynecomastia (female breasts). Never could afford the breasts removal surgery and so I worked out hard to make my chest somewhat more masculine. Spent all my free time at home with my mom and sisters fixing plumbing, their cars, electrical, painting, etc. All of my siblings and their friends were girls and so I went with them to the beach to protect them from the male pervs when they sunbathe topless or nude. I normally always wore Speedos due to the law enforcement was much harsher against male nudity then female.

In 1975 I dated a girl who had a tiny string bikini that she no longer wore and so I asked her if I could wear the bottoms. She said that I stretched out the front and so she looked with me for a male version. Men's Speedos were getting skimpier too and so we found at Macy's one with 1/2" sides that had a male pouch. My girlfriend soon became my wife and although she ditched her bikinis after our daughters were in their teens, I have since gone to strings and microkini thongs.

Been married to my wife now for some 40 years after we dated in 1975. I am still the same thin weight as in high school, but have lost some of my over 6 foot height. I only wear microkinis now, the tiniest, the better.

In my teens I never used to be attracted to naked guys or gay porn. Seeing a built guy in tiny underwear or speedos, however, was a huge turn on for me. I eventually started being into naked guys as well, but to this day I still find the sight of a guy in tiny gear much more of a turn on.

I think it started because in my early teens I received a comic that featured a hero who wore only a loincloth. Seeing his perfect physique covered by only a tiny piece of fabric was incredibly erotic, before I even knew what sex was.

I now workout hard to build a big ripped body to look like that hero in his loincloth.

I’m 60 now and straight . I’ve always liked very minimal swimwear. So I have a collection of styles ranging from joe Snyder bikini for the public pool . Some tanga half backs which are going to have to wait till Spain and my briefest suit is a joe Snyder Rio . I love the mango colour and I have worn this on the beach in the uk with no problems . 22 years old, I identify as straight ( but I'm open to experiments), got hooked on speedos since I was 9 when I started training swimming, then later I trained water polo for a short while, and back to swimming again. I have fetish for basically anything tight-fitting made of lycra. But speedos have always been No.1

What is your sexuality -IE- Str8, Gay, Bi, etc.? I guess you would say "Bi" though I think of myself as flexible. However, I'm in a committed relationship now so by all appearances I would be "Straight".

I love seeing guys and gals of all flavors wearing tight fitting and revealing clothes. Spandex, Lycra, nylon, elastine, Neoprene, etc... all of it works well for me.

I have recently returned to swimming after having been unwell for a while, and I can definitely feel the benefits, both in terms of weight loss and generally feeling good. I have always worn Speedo or Adidas briefs, and continue to do so.

I live in London, where I swim in Highgate Men's Pond during the summer months and will be using the London Fields open-air pool in the cooler months (which in the UK, is most of them!). There definitely seems to be more Speedo wearers in London this year; is the tide finally turning?

I also spend a lot of time in Torquay, Devon where I have a couple of holiday flats. I swim in the sea as much as possible - in fact I am heading off to my favourite swimming location this afternoon. Just a shame there aren't more Speedo wearers down here :(

My current favourite briefs for swimming are a pair of red Speedo Endurance, a navy blue Speedo, and black Adidas 3-stripe. I wish Adidas still made the red ones as it is my favourite colour.

I started wearing Speedos when I was around 16, definitely wasn't the norm but got more positive attention than people claim. grew up in the 1970s and attended West Ladue a JR high school in St. Louis. Thinking back to those days when all the guys had to dress out for swim class in their tight little black speedo's.
