I'm tempted in the Summer to have a naked dip in the North Sea. The coastline in Northumberland, England is very quiet, so if I go midweek, before the school holidays start I may just get away with it.

I also grew up swimming nude for the boys junior and high school swim classes in Michigan in the early 1970s.
So why not wear swim thongs, low cut bikini and swim jocks in public?

I would have done, but my wife was with me! Wore Hom micro briefs instead.

I'd talked to a friend a while back about how I din't have plans for the 4th. She'd mentioned that if her family was going to do something, I was welcome to come.

She sent me a text this morning inviting me over. They're having a family bbq at their place. Swimming and burgers. I accepted.

A few minutes later she sent me another text that said, "By the way, the boys usually swim nude. Hope that's okay." I responded that it was fine.

Now I'm not sure if she meant her sons or all the guys. :confused: I feel like it could get weird if I ask though.

I live in the UK, and until reading these comments I'd never even imagined that venues would require, or even allow you to swim naked - especially in the US where so many people seem to get hung up on guys wearing speedos. What a breath of fresh air (in several senses!). I work at a leisure centre where there are seperate sauna and steam room facilities in both male and female changing area. A guy went into the sauna and took off his towel. Other guys inthe sauna took such objection to this that one of them hit the emergency alarm! He arged that on the Continent being naked in the sauna was the norm. I left it to the manager to explain the differene between the UK and the rest of the world...

Most guys here don't even get naked in the shower, and then perform some uncomfortable pantomine trying to get dressed under their towel. Hang ups or what...

I would be careful as there is an old joke with a similar topic and an embarrassing ending. Just a thought.

A Hollywood hostess with a grudge invited a couple to a dinner party, telling them that the party would be naked and swinging. The couple arrived at the party house at the appropriate time, heard the music playing but saw that the curtains shut tight. When they knocked on the door the butler answered dressed only in an apron and invited them into the undressing room where they found the clothes of the other guests neatly folded on chairs. They stripped naked and placed there own clothes folded neatly on one of the chairs then returned to the butler in the hall. The butler stood behind them as he opened the door to the main room and ushered them forwards shutting the door behind them. The music was playing loudly and it was dark in the main room, the couple could sense rather that see the many people in the room around them and then as the song ended the room went very quiet and the lights came up and they saw all the other guests were fully clothed and beginning to point and laugh at them. They tried the door behind them and found it locked .....
And so the hostess got her revenge.

Hawaii nude beach
 

Earlier this year I visited the big island of hawaii. wore a speedo on a beach I went to on the kona side. On my final day went to the southeast side of the island where there is a nude black sand beach. I had never been to a nude beach before so was a bit nervous, but just took off my clothes and walked into the water. It was amazing, so much better than swimming with a suit on.

Just be careful about swimming on the southeast side of the Big Island of Hawaii. There are continuous lava flows that could burn your private parts!!!

I've been looking for pools that allow nude swimming. I didn't know it was common in school swimming classes and the YMCA, but I wish I could have done it!!! :D
