I always found down uncomfortable. I wear typically, standard competitive "speedo" type suits, up works for me best. Or up/angle.

MrMusik 11-02-2020 06:43 PM

It really depends on the cut of the suit.

The flat front competitive cut swim suits from the likes of Speedo, Arena, TYR, and the like I prefer to be either up or up and to the side. There just is no room in those suits for doing anything else as they are smashing everything down to make the smallest possible profile.

I much prefer suits with a pouch built in like the Speedo Solar and other suits available from an array of other small manufacturers like Cocksox, N2N, Covermale, and others that have pouches ranging from small to absurd depending on how much you want to show off. In this case, with a nice pouch, going down and forward is certainly the most comfortable.

I highly recommend trying different methods with your favorite suits and you will quickly figure out what is most comfortable with one may not be the most comfortable with another. You can't just slap a single label on it, different styles require different situations.

Well said MrMusik

It is clear that contour pouch with a central seam is much more comfortable. It takes male anatomy into account.
I have some briefs like this, and I observed that when I position my penis downward it is much more visible.
Being circumcised you really can see every detail, mostly with bright colors and when it is wet. Briefs with spandex are very revealing too.
So in public pools you have to keep that in mind. I can't hide my anatomy, but I don't care now.

SwimmerAlan 01-15-2021 11:12 AM

I think age and confidence are part of positioning choice. When I was younger, I always positioned down, making a nice rounded bulge. Most of the guys on my swim team did the same. If I did get hard, it was not quite as obvious, the bulge just looked bigger. As I got older I shifted to positioning up. I hated the feeling of my penis curving down between my legs, it just feels more comfortable straight upward. If I get hard, I just push sideways as needed.

Red^^Speedo 01-19-2021 01:31 PM

In really cold water, physiology makes the choice for me: straight ahead. :)

Which one is better?

Doesn't really matter! Which ever way there isn't much left to the imagination! Shaft, veins and head all well displayed. For me i prefer down and to the left i guess for max bulge otherwise it tends to shrink back if pointed up and does so after swimming anyway

KWOK007 12-08-2021 05:02 AM

Most designer suits have built some space for bulge and I believe putting downwards is the way to go. I usually wear competitive style suits without front contour, I will point upwards and if the suit is unlined, that can be very sexy.

microbikinidave 12-08-2021 07:54 PM

Another approach to the bulge!

I have the M73 Rio microbikini from Skinz, and I like to wear it straight across, as low as possible in the front, for full abdominal exposure. (The top front edge rests right on top of my shaft; being a Rio, there is a "cheek-and-cleavage show" in the back;) !) I do a complete bodyshave, so no pubic hair. I have ab-muscle definition fro bottom of pecs to shaft, with a definite arch of muscle over the shaft. The Rio pouch only allows a downward placement of the shaft, but that is what I prefer, and it is comfortable. When I'm flaccid, the pouch is pulled down slightly, exposing the smooth, tanned top of my shaft. If I'm erect, the pouch hangs even lower, exposing more of the shaft and my tiny tan lines  (For me::D :D )

Thanks, ThongTom! Strawberry Boards helped me post some Speedo Selfies on August 8. (One picture has a bathtub in the background; the other is in a closet.) The lighting is not that great, but it's good enough for you to get "the idea!" :D :D I was flaccid at the time. If erect...geez!!  I'll see if I can rig up some better lighting, get erect, and see "How Low the Pouch Can Go" sometime!!

Normally I hang down as this gives a better shape though I've tried lifting it up and to the left which initially gives a nice bulge and outline of the shaft and head but after a bit of movement it reverts to a low position anyway. My swimsuits are generally very brief anyway so the the bulge is more visible than wider suits.

BikenSwim 12-28-2021 09:17 PM

I like to Go for the Gold with my new Gary Majdell women's thong, pointing down. I wear it low, and trim my pubes as women do to wear it.

I defo think pointing it up is the option that feels better since you also get the extra material to hug your cock to your body, but the shaft has a lot of texture and if you dont want that to be seen, pointing it down makes the bulge rounder.

dm106 07-07-2022 02:04 AM

Agreed. Up is better.

niftynev 07-11-2022 01:53 AM

No matter where it starts, by the time I have sat down, swum, walked etc it ends up pretty much down, sometimes a bit to the side, depends a bit on the tightness. Easier to start down and it stays there without needing readjustment.

Thats true for standard speedos - but some have a great preformed bulg, where also down is more than comfortable - and a great look!
And if they are very flat, also sideways is a good option - and if they are very narrow on the side, it´s a naughty option...

It seems today's society treats male characteristics as something bad, It's sad that so many males are ashamed of their bodies, that's why they wear those awful baggy board shorts. Iv'e never wanted to wear them anywhere and rather just be be in a snug bright colored Speedo swimsuit anytime or anywhere.

Well done! No man has to hide , that he is one - and has, what belongs to this gender.... You will never find me in such a flattering , loos and long short. I wear tight speedos, thongs, and mini-pants.

bathingsuitbunny 07-12-2022 03:37 PM

Up!

I always have mine pointing to my belly button in my speedo suits... I'll be laying out back far enough that several older women in my housing unit can see me tanning n yoga posing... Love how rigidly hard I get... and insanely wet. My suit contours it soon well you can see it just throbbing up close!

Normally I’m up and to the side too but has to be down in these Mategear briefs or else it comes out the top! ;)

I mostly wear flat-front women's bikini bottoms or thongs to have the smallest suit on a crowded Beach. Pointing down or tucked was necessary to stay relaxed. Now I find I can stay relaxed when pointing up, which is more comfortable in a lined Arena Rulebreaker suit.

SpeedoSam01, if that is a pic of you in that suit, it looks like it fits you perfectly, in my opinion. Extremely low rise, and the sides fit right at your hip joints, not way above.

Great pic and fine show! Thanks for sharing!

speedobi 08-09-2022 09:59 AM

Absolute right - this is a real great looking small speedo on a fine body - long time ago I looked the same... :-) Keep on showing yourself in things like this one, only critic: it could be more colourfull! :-)

SpeedoSam01 08-14-2022 01:46 PM

Thanks! :)

For me the main position is to the side and down. I prefer to show a nice rounded bulge that keeps the VPL to a minimum. I don't have a large package to I find that this position somewhat enhances the assets for a more appealing image. The Neptune Scepter suit has a small cup to give your package some room and they wear with great comfort. The Asian cut suit also has a small pouch design to give you comfort yet support things without crushing you or letting things flop around when swimming. I use the NS suit exclusively for swimming laps.

peterus 08-28-2022 03:06 PM

penis position

It depends on the suit. In a Muscleskins thong with a shaped narrow pouch, I'll position "down". In a thong or bikini with a flatter front, I'll have it up or a bit to the side.....to show off a nice VPL.
