The British press must take the world prize for hyperhype on those trunks - they have always been suggestively referred to as daring speedos or swim suit - nudge, nudge, wink, wink - and I have even seen one journalist describe a "revealing bikini" as Bond comes out from his swim (a hark back to (was it?) Angela Andress in the early days no doubt, when she emerged from the water in bikini and holding up a conch shell).

About a year after the movie, I was interested in the swimsuit. I searched on the internet, later found a Bond memorabilia web site. They had the latest information on where to buy it.

From the east coast, I called Le Bra Lingerie of West Hollywood. I gave them my size, they had a few in stock which was fitting me. Purchased over the phone.

In the movie, they took off the brand tag.
