STS,

Your audience is patiently waiting for a new story. Please don't keep us in suspense too long. Keep up the great work.

It is Summer.... hot swim suit time. Maybe a new story is coming, but not really sure. Until then... it's time to have fun in the sun. In Maine, our Summer lasts hours, maybe days... so I make the most of it. Sitting inside writing a story is not high on that list.

Having said that, here are some thoughts. I have this funny short chapter about modeling for an art class (Zach and I). I never finished about Dave (the guy at the pool when Cody and Beth discovered each other) and then there is Zach. Finally, one day I will tie the story all together tighter than a boner in a speedo...... and end all of it with the epilogue.

Meanwhile, I swam my ass off for years... racing and kicking ass. Water meant swim faster than ever. I did incredible as a swimmer, but after college it was over. I admire Phelps and Lochte and divers like Delay.... but I also cherish my summer morning lake swims... when I can swim at whatever pace I want, enjoy incredible sunrises over the eastern hills from the middle of the water face down, and the only time to beat is whether the coffee will still be hot. My lifelong partner takes care of the hot coffee... and I love that (among much more).

I would not give up the swimming years for the world, I love where swimming took me. Zach remains my best friend in the world (well, now second best). And no... I am no longer the youngster in my story...

Hope this makes sense. Thanks to my fans for understanding my sebatical

Enjoy your well earned sebatical.
To all those who write and ask for more stories from STS I challange you to write one of you own. It does not have to be as long and as involved as was STS. And may very well not be as good, as his was excellent. But we all have a speedo story is us just waiting to be told. It could be a true story or just a speedo fantasy that you have always had on your mind. You will probably find that once you start writing the word will just pour out. The warm weather is here and most of us will be out and about in out speedos. The next time your out at a pool or laying on a warm beach take a moment or two to think of a story to write.
